These sacred sanskrit syllables,
written here in Tibetan script, symbolize enlightened body , speech and
mind. Visualized and/or recited, they serve to purify the karma
associated with the deluded actions of our body, speech and mind. These
syllables are also customarily written on the back of every thangka,
positioned at the crown, throat, and heart of the deity.
